Spouse & Partner Visa
The Spouse or Partner Visa allows you to join your British or settled partner in the UK. Under Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules, the Home Office scrutinises your relationship, finances, English language and accommodation. Guide Bridge builds cases that leave no room for doubt.
Relationship evidence
The Home Office needs to be satisfied your relationship is genuine and subsisting. We help you compile communication evidence, photographs with date metadata, joint financial commitments, travel records, and witness statements from family and friends — organised into a coherent narrative.
Financial requirement
The sponsor (the partner based in the UK) must show a minimum income of £29,000 per year through employment, self-employment, non-employment income, cash savings above £16,000, or a combination. We review payslips, tax returns, bank statements and employer letters to ensure every figure aligns with the Home Office calculation method.
How Guide Bridge helps
We assess both partners eligibility at the outset, calculate the financial requirement under every available category, build a detailed evidence pack in Appendix FM order, draft a covering letter addressing each rule the caseworker will check, prepare both the online application and document upload, and advise on priority and super-priority options.
After approval
A Spouse Visa is initially granted for 33 months (or 30 months if switching in-country). After 5 years on the route, you can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain. Guide Bridge tracks your renewal and ILR dates so nothing is missed.
